D. Defoe

Daniel Defoe, was an English trader, writer, journalist, pamphleteer, and spy, now most famous for his novel Robinson Crusoe. 

While writting novels and plays he often toured Great Britain working as a spy for the English king. At the time, England had struggle keeping peace in Scotland, and like many times before spies were used to aid the delivery of valuable information.
